Big one today: the album is real. It's called You Can't Frame a Summer, ten songs, and it lands everywhere August 7 — this Friday.

The title comes from a line in "Receipts," and the whole record follows one arc — a stranger shows up right on time, the summer catches fire, it wobbles once down Midnight Pass, and it lands somewhere better than it started. Ten songs about the same two people, start to finish.

Track one is "Rhode Island Timing." Track ten is "Every Sweet Thing." I sequenced it like a story because that's how it happened — not the details, exactly, but the shape of the thing. Every summer worth having has the same shape, I think.
